About Phi Theta Kappa
Phi Theta Kappa is the International Honor Society of the two-year college. Phi Theta Kappa's mission is two-fold: recognize and encourage the academic achievement of two-year college students and provide opportunities for individual growth and development through participation in honors, leadership, service and fellowship programming.

PTK Alumni at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi
Established in 1978, Phi Theta Kappa Epsilon of Texas serves as the alumni chapter at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. The organization provides its members with opportunities to network with other PTK members, gain scholarships, and be actively involved in community projects. All Phi Theta Kappa members are welcome to apply for membership. For more information on the PTK Alumni Chapter at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, please contact Dr. Jerilee Milligan or Dr. Rachel Kirk.

Membership Eligibility
To be eligible for membership in the Phi Theta Kappa Epsilon Alumni Association at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, you must:

  • Be an active member of Phi Theta Kappa at your previous institution.
  • Be in good academic and disciplinary standing at your previous institution.
  • Attend the Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Phi Theta Kappa Induction Ceremony, and submit an application for alumni membership (includes a one-time $25 application fee).
  • Maintain membership in Phi Theta Kappa Epsilon by attending 2 meetings and 1 activity each semester (Fall and Spring).

Scholarship Opportunities
Active members of the Phi Theta Kappa Epsilon Alumni Association can take advantage of scholarship opportunities offered through the chapter. Available funds are awarded to qualified applicants, and are handled through the University Scholarship Office. Scholarship applications may be obtained online via our University Scholarship web site athttp://scholarships.tamucc.edu. NOTE: The PTK Scholarship Application is included in the standard Transfer University Scholarship Application. Deadline to apply is February 1. For Undergraduate Students
To be considered for the Phi Theta Kappa Epsilon Scholarship at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, you must:

  • Be an active member of Phi Theta Kappa at your previous institution.
  • Be in good academic and disciplinary standing at your previous institution.
  • Be a full-time student.
  • Have a 3.5 overall GPA from all institutions attended on transfer work that was accepted by Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, and must maintain a 3.5 GPA each semester in attendance.
  • Maintain membership in Phi Theta Kappa Epsilon by attending 2 meetings and 1 activity each semester (Fall and Spring).

For Graduate Students
To be considered for the Phi Theta Kappa Epsilon Scholarship at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, you must:

  • Be an active member of Phi Theta Kappa at your previous institution.
  • Be a at least a part-time student.
  • Have and maintain a 3.0 overall GPA each semester in attendance.
  • Maintain membership in Phi Theta Kappa Epsilon by attending 2 meetings and 1 activity each semester (Fall and Spring).
